No. MedMove Inc. is a business-to-business pharmaceutical transport and clinical logistics company. MedMove transports medications and healthcare shipments for specialty pharmacies and other qualified healthcare organizations; it does not transport passengers or provide non-emergency medical transportation, wheelchair transportation, ambulance services, or patient ride services.

Does MedMove support HIPAA-compliant pharmaceutical delivery?
Yes. MedMove supports HIPAA-compliant pharmaceutical delivery workflows and executes Business Associate Agreements when required by the engagement. Specific privacy, security, communication, documentation, and access requirements are established according to the client relationship and applicable delivery workflow.
Will MedMove execute a Business Associate Agreement?
Yes. MedMove executes Business Associate Agreements when required by the engagement. The BAA and applicable data-handling requirements should be finalized before protected health information is exchanged or accessed as part of the service relationship.
Where does MedMove operate, and what route lengths does it handle?
MedMove provides statewide pharmaceutical transport throughout California, including Southern California, the Central Valley, the Bay Area, Sacramento, and Northern California. Our operating model is particularly designed for intercity and long-haul routes exceeding 150 miles, including same-day, scheduled, overnight, and round-trip missions.
What kinds of pharmaceutical shipments does MedMove transport?
MedMove supports the transport of specialty medications, biologics, infusion therapies, oncology medications, fertility medications, controlled substances, and other high-acuity pharmaceutical shipments requiring time-sensitive delivery, temperature control, documented handling, or verifiable chain of custody.
How does MedMove manage cold-chain pharmaceutical shipments?
Cold-chain shipments are handled according to the client's approved procedures, product specifications, required temperature range, and delivery timeline. Depending on the requirements of the accepted engagement, MedMove can provide continuous temperature logging, pickup and delivery temperature records, exception alerts, and documented escalation when a shipment moves outside approved parameters.
What chain-of-custody documentation does MedMove provide?
MedMove documents the transfer and possession of pharmaceutical shipments from pickup through final delivery. Records may include pickup and delivery timestamps, shipment identifiers, origin and destination information, the identities or signatures of authorized personnel, shipment condition at each handoff, temperature data when applicable, and documentation of delays, exceptions, or delivery issues.
Does an ambient medication still require specialized delivery procedures?
It may. Even without temperature-control requirements, the shipment may require tracking, chain-of-custody documentation, authorized-recipient verification, signature capture, time-critical delivery, controlled-substance procedures, or long-distance transportation.
What is the difference between STAT, scheduled, and dedicated-route transport?
STAT transport is intended for urgent, time-critical pharmaceutical shipments that require rapid dispatch and direct delivery. Scheduled transport is used for planned deliveries occurring on specific dates or recurring intervals. Dedicated-route support reserves transportation capacity for a client's recurring lanes, service areas, or delivery schedule.
Does MedMove support controlled-substance transportation?
MedMove supports qualifying controlled-substance shipments using enhanced custody controls, identity verification at designated handoffs, documented possession transfers, route-specific operating procedures, and escalation protocols. Each shipment is evaluated according to the client's requirements and applicable federal and California regulations.
Is dedicated transportation required for every specialty medication shipment?
No. A controlled multi-stop route may be appropriate when it preserves the required timing, custody, temperature, security, and documentation. The route model should be selected according to the actual shipment requirements.
What happens if a medication delivery fails?
The provider should follow pre-established client instructions. Depending on the situation, this may involve contacting authorized stakeholders, preserving the medication under required conditions, attempting a properly authorized redelivery, returning the shipment, or initiating another approved recovery procedure.
Does MedMove deliver medication orders placed by individual patients?
MedMove is a business-to-business pharmaceutical transport company serving qualified healthcare organizations. It is not a pharmacy or consumer prescription-ordering platform.
Is pharmaceutical transport the same as medical courier service?
The terms can overlap. Some medical courier companies provide advanced pharmaceutical transportation capabilities. The important distinction is not the label but the provider's ability to meet the shipment's custody, timing, documentation, tracking, temperature, recipient, and exception-management requirements.
